Once you send a reservation request, the landlord is notified that you are interested in their offer. From that moment, they have 24 hours to approve or reject your reservation.
Landlords are mainly interested in the profile of their tenant. Do not forget to fill in all necessary information, add your profile picture, or even make a short video about yourself. Doing that will make you more attractive for the owner and your reservation will more likely get approved.
You can take a look at the contract in advance and online with every offer. After you sign it, you will find it in the application My Housing.
While arranging a contract on Flatio, you do not have to worry that it could be disadvantageous for you. Our contracts are made so that we avoid all problems! All of them are the same, used by all the landlords on Flatio.
Your time is precious. That's why we've added a virtual tour option to our platform so you can see some of the rentals listed on Flatio from the comfort of your own home.
If a virtual tour isn't available for the accommodation you've chosen, you can contact the landlord and ask them if they're willing to give you a personal tour of the rental unit.
In the event that you move in and the rented accommodation doesn't match the information on Flatio, let us know as soon as possible!
If the conditions for the withdrawal are met and the landlord can't fix the issue immediately, you have the option to withdraw from the lease agreement with a full refund. We'll also actively help you find an alternative accommodation and remain by your side until everything is fully resolved.

How you can cancel a reservation varies depending on what stage the reservation is in.
Is your reservation request still waiting for landlord approval? Then you can simply cancel it directly from your My Housing web app!
However, suppose the owner has already approved your reservation request, and you are no longer interested in it. In that case, you can still cancel the reservation before you sign the lease agreement. Just consider that you should do this only in essential cases. Because when the landlord accepts your reservation, their property is stopped being advertised, and they can lose the chance to rent their property to someone else.
Do you have an approved reservation and also a valid agreement? In order to cancel your reservation, contact Flatio customer support well in advance of your contract beginning (the specific time and amount of refund depends on the type of cancelation policy).

The little details made this place feel really homely. Especially the very comfortable sofa, with adjustable headrests - and the beanbag, which makes for a nice cozy spot after a long day. The desk set-up is epic, with a top quality Samsung monitor, and a high backed, height adjustable, cushioned chair, which also has arms. And it’s got wifi speeds to match. I did several tests here, and was clocking between 150 and 450! https://www.speedtest.net/result/15818374227 The kitchen had everything we needed, and everything was in great (new, or almost new) condition. No crusty pans here.
There are 2 balconies - one off the kitchen and one of the main living area, so you get lots of natural light and air through most of the day, and it makes the already huge footprint seem even bigger. I did my workout on the balcony, but there’s also space inside if you prefer. If you just want to relax, the balcony is setup with some comfy chairs and a small table to eat or work from. So it’s really up to you.
There is also a lot of storage space, from the huge built in units in the hallway, to a big side unit in the lounge, and a utility cupboard in the kitchen. The entrance to the building at ground level has no steps, and there is an elevator in the building - so accessibility ins’t an issue.
And if you travel with kids or a baby, there is a cot and high chair here, along with other kid-friendly items (plates and cutlery etc). You can see my video tour and other content including the apartment on IG @nomadaccommodationguy
Couple of things to note. The listing says there is a hot tub. There isn’t a hot tub, but there is 2 bath tubs!
There was no AC when we stayed (we didn’t need it, but in summer you probably would want it) The host (Paulo) already mentioned to me they plan to install AC and with that this apartment will be perfect. I’ve stayed in Lagos before in other areas, but I found this location ideal for getting quick access to the town, and the beaches. 10 mins to the beach less than 10 mins into the town. 1 small supermarket 5 mins away
1 big supermarket 15 mins away All walking. I would 100% return here. It was a dream stay.
The apartment is just outside the centre of Lagos, so really quick and easy access to everything on offer.
The neighbourhood seems fairly local and residential. We only saw Portuguese people in and around the building.
Like most of Lagos, it seemed very safe here, and was very clean.
There was also very little noise.
There is a playpark and skate park about 200 meters away, and even that didn't create lots of noise.
The Maria Pestica cafe across the road was a nice spot for a quick caffeine fix (less than 1 minute away) and you can see it from the lounge balcony across the way.

Enjoy a nice glass of wine at Dos Irmaos. And there's a weekly nomad meetup at Lagos Marina.
The apartment was warm enough during the winter months to live and we managed it with only one electric heater provided. The temperature would be between 18-19'C during the cold months in the living room which is the coldest room due to the position and not much sun. All other rooms have a lot of sun during the day.
We've been quite unlucky to have the scaffolding outside the building for 2 months and had to deal with some issues related to that. The good news is that you probably don't have to worry about this in the next couple of years!
For us the location of the apartment was perfect. Close to the old town and many restaurants that are located there. There are different shops within walking distance and one small one basically next to the building. There are a couple of playgrounds for kids within walking distance and a skatepark just next to the apartment (visible from the balcony).
The closest beach is within walking distance but Lagos is very hilly so walking 900 meters with beach stuff and kid was not an option, there're many beaches 3 min away by car with free parking available (Porto de Mos, Meia Praia).
