The place is absolutely magical, full of interesting and quirky designs and with incredible views. It's actually even better than it looks in the photos. The landlord was extremely friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. I would reccommend a stay here to anyone
Neighborhood
It's a very special ancient town in an unbelievably beautiful location where two rivers meet. There are a few good restaurants and the shops have most things you need. Public transport seemed so limited we didn't try it, but it's possible there are routes we didn't know about. The atmosphere in the town is calm and not particularly touristy when we were there (March)

For food: Villa Vehla, PREC, Tamuji, Cafe Bom D+ for the view. For walks, follow the 'trail running' signs- which cover many of the local hills. Particularly the routes behind the Pavilhao Multiusos lead on beautiful journeys. (Not super tough but there are occasional rocks to climb over and steep slopes so bring good shoes)
